Press Record and do the task as usual. Every click and every field you fill becomes a numbered step with a screenshot. Passwords and card numbers are hidden automatically. Edit, then export a clean HTML page or PDF — free, without an account.
Coming to the Chrome Web Store — October 2026 See pricingNo account. No cloud. Guides and screenshots stay in your browser.
Self-contained HTML and PDF, unlimited guides, on the free plan. Other recorders keep export behind a monthly subscription.
Guides live in your browser's storage, not on our servers — we don't have any for your data. Fine for internal tools, admin panels and customer data you can't upload elsewhere.
Password, card, IBAN-like and "secret" fields are pixelated in every screenshot, and the typed values are never stored. Blur anything else with a drag.
Pro is €24 one time: Word and Markdown export, your logo and colour, no footer. Comparable plans elsewhere cost about that every month.

Based on the public pricing pages in October 2026; check them for current details. If you need hosted sharing and team analytics, Scribe and Tango do that well. Howpaper is for people who want the file, privately, without a subscription.
No guide, screenshot or URL ever does. The only network call is the optional Pro licence check to clip.malvatech.app, which receives the key and nothing else. Privacy policy.
Access to the pages you record (asked the first time you press Record) to see your clicks and take screenshots; storage to keep guides locally; alarms for the weekly licence re-check. It never reads pages when you aren't recording.
Not from Howpaper: there's no server holding your guides. Export HTML or PDF and put it wherever your team already shares files (drive, wiki, email, intranet).
Passwords, card numbers and fields named like secrets are pixelated automatically. For anything else, click "Blur area" on the step and drag over it: the blur is baked into every export.
It's built for Chrome; Chromium browsers that install from the Chrome Web Store usually work too.
